Firex 4518 Ionization Smoke alarms
are hardwire units with a 9V battery backup. The 4518 can easily be interconnected with other Firex smoke
and heat alarms. The Firex False
Alarm Control™ enables the user to mute non-threatening alarms for up to 15
minutes, reducing the temptation to disconnect the smoke alarms in the event of an unwanted signal.
Firex 4518 smoke alarms are interconnectable to up to 18 Firex units, 6 of which may be Firex
heat alarms. When
interconnected with other Firex smoke alarms, the unit that initiates the
alarm horn throughout the system will display a rapidly flashing red LED,
while the other interconnected smoke alarm LEDs remain unlit.
The Firex
4518 hardwire smoke alarms comply with UL standard 217. Backed by a 5 year limited factory warranty.
